REVIEWS

quote I don’t know where to start. Yans is my go-to takeaway place in Lower Hutt. I think I visit at least twice a week. The rice rolls are made fresh and are sooo good! I highly recommend the egg tarts, beef ho fun, shredded duck & pickled vege vermicelli and char kuey teow. The roast duck from here is phenomenal! So juicy and tender 🤌🏼. While waiting for my takeaways I usually just wander around the supermarket side of the business. Service is friendly and efficient. I just really love this place 😌.

quote So many Asian products I just did not know existed (I'm an old white guy... Ok?). Always find interesting snacks to take home. Their dumplings are very good. The restaurant is basic... The food is great.

quote Good supermarket with a variety of goods. Mainly Chinese ingredients and products but they also sell some products from Philippines, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. And the restaurant serves delicious food, too. We especially love the crispy pork (perfectly seasoned), wonton soup (clear and clean soup. Really delicious and very comforting), pork buns (soft buns and delicious filling) and red bean buchi balls (crispy, not drenching in oil, delicious red bean filling).

quote Good to shop some stocks not available but easy to the location. I have noticed some goods are still in the shelves display selling even the date are expired maybe it happened not yet checked. It is powder using in cooking starch or wheat. Just need checking to avoid customer's doubt. I know some goods are still safe to use even expire the date. But of course just to follow the NEW ZEALAND HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDARD all businesses must follow the regulations to not sell and not display expired food .

quote Great supermarket. This places shows you how we get ripoff at the supermarkets with items like soy, vinegar, dumplings, spices, sauces, etc. Here at Yan's is way cheaper and also more interesting. I will be doing half of my supermarket at Yan's from now on
